What Is “Expose Smithfield Death Star” About?

Joey was celebrating his record-breaking victory when a protestor attacked him. Before security could intervene, Chestnut tackled and manhandled him alone. The protestor is now known as the “Smithfield Death Star protestor.”

A person tried to ambush the 15-time contest winner as he stood in front of the crowd to celebrate. Instead, he was the one who handled the protestor alone, leaving him on the ground. He choked the protester, who appears to be uninjured at the moment.

Furthermore, the protestor was holding a sign that wrote, “Expose Smithfield’s Death Star.” We have no idea what that means or who he was implying it to.

For the time being, the identity of the Smithfield Death Star Protestor is unknown.

However, it has been reported that he was under the control of security. However, no information about his identity has been revealed. When the protestor tackled Joey, he was facing the opposite side of the camera. As a result, his face was not captured on camera.

Protestor Tackled By Joey Chestnut

While Joey Chestnut easily wins another Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island today, a protestor intervened.

Chestnut, on the other hand, tackled him and still won the event with 63 hot dogs consumed, 20 more than his closest competitor. Security quickly took away the protestor, and the champion appeared unperturbed by the incident.

It was expected that Chestnut would not break his previous record of 76 hot dogs this year due to a lack of training and competition, but the competition still demonstrates the massive gap between him and every other hot dog eater on the planet.

In the end, Chestnut is still the champion.

From 2001 to 2006, Takeru Kobayashi won the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest six years in a row. Joey Chestnut stunned the world by defeating Kobayashi in 2007.

Last year, Chestnut set a world record by eating 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes. He’s eaten 74.5 hot dogs in two years, after eating 75 in 2020.

With the exception of 2019, Chestnut has increased his hot dog consumption year after year since regaining the belt in 2016.
